I have to keep telling myself that I am just one person and that I can’t do everything. The problem is that there is so much to do.
In just over a week, I perform at 3rd and Lindsley for my big CD Release show. This means that this week will be jam-packed with rehearsals, promotion, and preparations for the show. What is an Asian to do?
I guess I’ll just have to go one step at a time. Little by little. And be happy that I accomplished something at all. This is going to be a wild ride.
In the next couple of weeks, I’ll be hearing from the press about the album. I’m okay with the possibility that people and critics might hate it. I just hope that they give it a fair chance. I didn’t write this album hoping that it would appeal to everyone. We should live in a world where people are discerning and are open to a variety of styles even if it means that my music won’t appeal to some or even most people. I know that there is some music out there that I don’t like, and so, it shouldn’t be any different for anyone else.
Because of all that is going on, I haven’t been eating or sleeping all that well. I’m going to make a better effort this week. Gosh. I need a vacation.
